It's midgrade either way. You need a fairly good gold connector to make it to peripheral.
If you have a local yard you'll probably get a better rate for the copper removed from the board though.

Looks like a CCFL inverter from an LCD screen, I've got a pile of these I still need to pull the copper and chips off of, you'll make more with the copper transformers. Some are easy to take apart, others, not so much

The more I look at it the more it looks like the shell around the copper is iron hematite. When you remove them tap a corner of one with a tack or ball hammer. See if it's brittle. Would 'shatter' into nice clean shards like granite does.

Hematite is worth almost as much as copper if It is and your yard takes it it's worth smashing those completely.

My yard said they were powdered iron compressed into a powder, but I've been saving it. Will see what mine says when I bring my next load in

i got that initially too. They need to scan it and getting a yard to scan a small amount that they have made up their mind on isn't easy. And I could be wrong anyway.

Yeah, the yard I took mine too didn't have a scanner at the time, and they were rude to me. I use a different yard now, much nicer, and will ask them, I'll post back when I find out what it really is!
