The top one is small dual socket. The bottom two, email Chris the photo. Could go either way from what i see and what kgryczan said

Those appear to be small multi-socket boards. The distance used to calculate socket size is the distance between the first and last pins on the widest part of the CPU socket. That distance appears to be shorter than the 2" required to get large socket grade.

I agree though they are server class boards with those massive gold pin backplane connectors. Not sure where the line on that is drawn. I've never had boards with such short width bp connectors.
The sockets are no doubt small socket.
The giant (well, not so giant here) bp connector is what's at issue here. Best bet for absolute classing is email Chris, my revised suggestion.

Thanks mls.
Any idea where the line is drawn? The ones i get (from the same company each time) always have 2.8 inch bp connector and dual moto socket 606 (small).

Those small boards here, look like a low profile half rack no?

as near as i can tell if they see a CPU socket on a board, they just kinda key in on those and that dictates the whole board, doesn't really matter the rest of whats on the board.

if you were to hack and chop the board to bits, those would get BP class but the rest of the board would suffer... I have only run across a couple of instances where it was beneficial to cut the board into pieces to get better prices and when I did, i told them about it first to make sure they were okay with it.

I'm not up on my computer tech lingo, but i know they come from servers... Weither they are half rack, full rack, or babyback im not so sure... i thought they were called server blades, but i could be wrong.

Great. Blade servers tend to usually be half hight racks, explaining why the bp sockets are where they are in this post (not making sense in an 18x13 layout but fitting a 12x4)

Babyback. Now there's an idea. Serves pages 1kt and runs at 1t-flop and makes ribs too!

jokes aside, i wasn't referring to cutting them. The ones i get are just slightly larger then the one pictured but the backplane ports are more than double what this user has. Despite small pga sockets I've always gotten large socket rate for the backplane port sockets.
Think I'll forward this photo to Chris and see if I can get an idea where that line is drawn.
But what I'm guessing from your post is

small size backplane socket stays in small size socket class.
Large size backplane socket brings the whole board to large size.
I'll post back here in a fee days when I get confirmation.

Sorry about hijacking your post jmepositive.
