The 'glass centers' chips are called EPROMS (erasable programmable read-only memory) ... this post was edited to remove my stupid guessing! LOL Thanks for the corrections gentlemen!

On the first 2, removing the EPROMS may downgrade them but not entirely sure, the other 2 probably won't hurt. They are just regular IC chips unless they have gold legs, then they can probably be considered Pentium ceramic.

EPROMs go as mixed ic's, I believe if they have gold legs they are of higher value.
Leave the ic's.......those are peripheral. Remove the ic's it may down grade them to mid grade.

Only remove ic's from low and mid grade boards. Peripheral or higher leave them.

Leave them in for peripheral rate. Take them out for midgrade.

Nickel, tin and silver legs are IC rate. Gold legs go as AMD ceramic most of the time and occasionally Pentium but very rarely anything higher

File comment: Is this a motor, or does it just work the actual Stepper motor

If I'm correct on what you're referring too, they're motors with a board or ICs attached as part of the assembly.
They usually have a board on the back, like printers, or a steel plate pcb, like cd/DVD drive motors.
