Or more generically m would be material.

Boardsort doesn't buy CBM via mail.
It broken into three grades or four depending on the company

1-3

1 lots of copper no steel
2 lots of copper with steel
3 more steel than copper

1-4
1 lots of copper no steel
2 lots of copper more non steel than Cu
3 lots of copper with steel
4 more steel than copper

Most motors fall into 2/3 or 3/4

That would be 2 or 3

Speaking of cbm....I took about 400lbs of small transformers the kind from power cords they are about 1-1/2" square. The scrap yard here offered me short iron price for them which is about 4cents per pound I asked them about the 10lbs hard drive magnet covers "permalloy" they said they were iron also. I asked did they have an XRF gun they looked at me like I was crazy. lol.....I told them I know what I have and that "permalloy" was worth around $2 per pound so I would keep it.

The pml issue is to be expected. Few do the volume to even know what it is let alone pay for it.
I like the sticky screw test.
Mini mag plus screw equals sticky screw
Place the permalloy in between and sticky permalloy but no sticky screw
Magic!
That usually gets a better offer though usually not actually the value. if nothing else you've thoroughly confused everyone.
