Oh, okay. Thanks for all your help!! I think I've got enough info to put together my 1st shipment. Are the flat rate boxes from the post office the best way to go? Also, if you you don't mind me asking... Where do you guys source your stuff? I am having a hard time finding people willing to give stuff away here in Illinois. I've went through all my old stuff and found a couple pc's on the curb. But now I'm empty lol.

Most of my equipment comes from either my repair work or my frustration of failed (and/or botched) hacks and mods.
Like the six Sanyo microwaves i ruined before I got one to play sideways Tetris on the number panel. Followed by pong; lol.

I also firmly disagree with returns so most of my purchases from thrift wind up disassembled, eventually repaired or scrapped.

I'm not past scrapping though by any means so if you put it on the curb I'm interested!

What's the best way to ship? FedEx wants over $40 to ship from central Illinois to boardsort in Ohio... I doubt I'd even get $40 for this stuff.

From what I found on their website, they only have 1 bigger sized box and it is only 12"x12" or so. I've got about 60 or so pounds of random sized stuff.

If you have a PayPal account you can sign up for a discounted rate shared value commercial account via multi order shipping tools. They have their own link. Or if you're going to ship enough on your own you can get your own volume commercial account
Also remember that it's not weight but girth and distance that fedex charges for. 10 12x12x12 boxes at 10 lbs costs less than 2 60x60x40
Orders are multi package so you can ship a dozen different packages and pay less than one giant cube. It's about getting the most on the interstate trucks
100 lbs of lead costs less than 100 lbs of pillows to ship! When you're state to state.
That said if you're shipping 100 lbs of computer boards across town a single giant box is best because it's regional, a single van will take it from a to fedex to b.
So the less boxes regionally is better

Finally here's a few tips to make prices lower
Using an account to ship
Print your labels at home but tick the bring it to a fedex location box and bring your packages to them. Can be 10%-50% less depending on where you live to give it to them yourself

If you don't have an account you should have the labels done in store.

50 -100 lbs or so usually costs $25-40 per shipment for me from illinois
