I have boards with both gold fingers and ic chips and I am wondering if they can be graded higher than a telecom board.

The gold fingers do not make a difference on the grading of motherboards and telecom boards.

The gold cap Motorola chip will get you "high grade gold capped-chip board" class for that board. If you pull the chip (assuming it is not soldered to the board), you would get telecom for the board and Motorola gold cap chip for the chip... you would have to decide if it is worth while.

I believe you will get Telecom for the top one.

they are both great examples of high yield boards!
