Hi,

These boards had some nice 386/486 chips and some plain intel ceramic. Would these be motherboard, or could they go as GFC? The other side is devoid of anything.

Those are riser boards. The empty one is peripheral with the fingers attracted.
The other pair is gold finger cards.

Riser and bus boards like these are outside the standard classification and a prime example of why I normally put an almost before my always.

Both bus and riser boards run the full gamut from midgrade (cpu socket and fingers, nothing else) to gold cap chip board (DEC 8086 cards) and beyond (B&H Star line boards). Outside of ibm i5065 (xt) and i6065 (pc-at) there is zero standardisation.

Any idea what the empty one is from? If I didn't know better I'd say it looked unfinished but it's all capped off. I've never seen one /that/ empty befor with ZERO expansion.
I see the two controllers dip sockets for the cpu and XX901 socket for the 80x87 coprocessor, and the bios overide. But zero memory, nothing for interrupt control.
Can you do me a huge favour and flip that over. I'm lost as to how it would work.

Unfortunately I do not know what it is out of.

Here is the back of it.

Yep; totally stumped. As far as I can see it's not complete. It shouldn't work. Maybe a zilog super chip in that bios socket. Or maybe an 8088 with 9951 super sets?
but ... well... none of that matters to recycling.
:)
Just peeked my curiosity.
And a gold star. You totally stumped me.
