lost is correct, it will be metal socket even if you take the bracket off. The other thing is that there is no price difference between the standard metal and small soc MB's at the moment, so it doesn't make any sense to remove them.

the guys at the dock know the sockets pretty well, so they will be able to spot the difference pretty easily. I had a socket get ripped off once and they still treated it as a metal socket.

Price is the same either way. Looks like the market has fallen some in some categories.

What do cell phone SIM cards/chips fall under? I've got a few ounces of them from phones I have pulled the batteries out of.

The prices are the same at the moment but they still need to be sorted separately since they go in different bins.

There's no class on the quote form but smart chips like SIM cards are purchased. They're usually a bit under the gold pin connector rate. So take that and subtract 20 cents and you have a range per lb.

Will this slot card go telco or GFC?

Also, any more than scrap value in this old macintosh G3 server? Looks complete

Working you'll be up from $30-$70 on average. Higher depending on the options. $150 isn't unheard of.
Unknown or untested they're usually under $40 after shipping.

If you have a monitor and keyboard plug it on and fire it up; see what happens!
If not you're easier off scrapping it. They're heavy and expensive to ship whole, not worth much untested , and a risk of buyer return / charge back fraud.

Oh and that's a GFC card.

Thanks man. Looks like its going in with the rest of the scrap. The CPU is alot different than a normal one it looks like. Almost like a ram stick sticking out the side of it?

Yep. Earlier designs of the PDS.
You've got to pull it and remove any spreader but most are either gold finger card or green fibre with metal.

Is it wise to remove this 486 chip that has gold pins?
