 Post subject: what would this be

came out of an old power supply. I cut one of the wires and it looks like gold wires. If I cut them off what would it be?

As is the board would be peripheral. The 'nubs' are nickel, brass caps, brass mounts, the pins/wires are a low level gold alloy. I got $37 per ounce from my very trusted refinery for them a few month ago. It is clean-ish gold, but of very low content. Enough with everything to bump to peripheral rate but I wouldn't cut it off. Without the gold you'd probably fall to midgrade and loose money on the "pins".
