I am new to E scrapping and need some help identifying and grading some boards also what I should or should not remove to get the best prices and not de-value the boards. These boards were salvaged from servers and equipment from a recently closed telecom office. Boards #1, 2 and 3 are 16'' x 17'' in size and have over 100 of #1 and 3. All others are smaller and range in size. Have 50 to 100 plus in smaller boards. Any help would be great. Thanks
More pictures to come.

Server time.
8)peripheral
7)telco on big ones. Not sure on little without other side
6)gold finger card remove the Dallas box battery
5)peripheral
4)telco
3)small socket. Remove the ram and cpu to cell separate.
2)backplane
1)
Pic 3 two small ones are peripheral, big one telco
Pic 2 while technically a mobo I’d go telco here (remove the 486 if socketed)
Pic 1 I’m not sure on this. You have everything for small socket except the socket. Not sure if the bus port qualifies for a socket in this case. Wait for mls

If you have over 100 of 1/3 that means you’d have more than 100 black fibre CPUs. Possibly same in 486s! Awesomeness!

Lost,
Not sure if you are confused or me. Most likely me. All three pictures of Board #1 are same board. The smaller ones are attached to the big one. Just wanted to show what was under the smaller boards on the main board. Can I remove the smaller board, remove the 486 and put the smaller board back on the main board and make the entire board Telco? Hope I didn't confuse you with this reply.

Ohkay I see what you have now.
Yes, remove the 486 and Dallas battery

Keeping them together doesn’t change the boards classes, unfortunately. Telco. On the big one (most likely) and peripheral for the other two.

Boards #1 and #3 - do I need to take the metal brackets off before I ship them? Also, I am removing the large rectangular heat sink but the power inverter or whatever it is is soldered to the board. does this need to be removed as well?

Yes remove the screwed on brackets and don’t forget to remove the CPUs, they have their own grades, eg 486 and black fibre.

OK, I will remove brackets. So if I need to remove the converter how would be the best way to remove it without damaging the board or taking a lot of time to remove it. Thanks for all your help.

Reviewing picture 1 with the bracket removed will probably fall into telco based on boards I’ve sent.
Sorry it took so long but I had to go back and look.
Leave the inverter alone

I generally try to be cautious. Boardsort will always upgrade any boards that deserve it on reception. The goal in sorting is reducing their workload and hence paying higher prices on everything. They do still verify everything.
I’d much rather you get an upgrade than a downgrade when I’m not positive.
