Bunch of visible gold front and back but is it hurt by the fact that I had to beat the snot out of it to get it out and in the process broke off all the gold pin attachments? Peripheral still or just midgrade?

Those auto boards have a lot of sealants in/on them. Most water/weather application boards (fish washer, washing machine) winds up in automotive

Is the outer box cast aluminum?

It’s usually pour cast (which is different than die cast but I don’t know how) aluminium.
