The large one should safely fit in green fibre with metal it may not have pins but I know this board and it’s a few steps above the similar designs
The two little ones go in ic (yes despite missing pins).

Back

All peripheral

Back

Big board peripheral small board telco
Pack these separate, both may be upgraded.

Back

Telco (too large for cell phone class)

That ceramic is technically called an SCU(p) for system controller unit (processor). But yes it’s a CPU for anyone not ordering a part.
About the same idea as a GPU being called a “graphics”... or dsp etc.
And yes the actual internals are old processors, in this case usually a Motorola 68k derivation but some also use i386/7 combos.

I’m total cool with it being telecom but is it really too big for cell class?

It is. Not because of the size but because of the use of the size. Population per area etc.

I understand your POV too. I’ve had many many... that didn’t quite make it.
Where Chris and I finally had the this vs that discussion was a celebrite cell/tablet reprogrammer. It was quite literally a complete cell phone (and then some) with the same level components. Only the size of a tablet (7 inches). The situation with that also worked to explain what tablets, ereaders, media players, personal recorders, cameras, etc go where.
Cell is based on population, quality of population, density of population, and materials of the board.
I know. A lot of stuff. Hence Chris saying cell phones are cell phones; and my saying post a photo for anything your not sure of.

That celebrite is actually posted in my what’s inside it series.
