The guy I got these from at spectrum said these boards were 7000.00 each 13 years ago when they were new, is that just due to the tech at the time or because they used more precious metals on it? It looks like alot more then the normal pins I see.

Well he’s a bit off. Those were about $2000 NEW as a retail price. Not a scrap price.
My first AWE64 sound card was $900 When I got it. Today Boardsort pays telco rate for that specific card.
They’re peripheral rate
If they work and you know they work you’ll probably get around $20 on ebay for them.
There’s not better gold, just more area covered.
If you ever scrap, or look at, a Super Beta (beta III) player you’ll find similar quantity in the ports and mounts.
Gold cost less than today and they used more of it.
But over all value, your at grains, maybe a gram. Not ounces.

I’d love to sell that for 7000 but NObody is going to pay that.
