 Post subject: power supply card??

Need to know if I should remove anything from this plus what to place it under it is out of a power supply

This would be a low grade board. I would remove the easy copper and ICs and leave the rest, as my local yard buys low grade boards for the same price as transformers.

Thank you I will pull the copper it has no stored power I got bounced by that.
I might leave it populated since I dont know what I C s are and just toss the lot.
I need to learn some about electronics twice this week I put my hand in the wrong place one was a analog TV hand was numb for a few mins after that dumb trick

When scrapping power supplies, I always let them sit idle for a few days to let the main capacitors drain before opening them up. On the larger capacitors, what you can do is wrap electrical tape around the shank of a flathead screwdriver, then while wearing a safety glove to insulate your hand, hold the screwdriver across the two pins on the bottom of the board where the capacitor is soldered. That will make a short and any electricity stored in the capacitor will be discharged. You may hear a pop and see a spark when you do this. If it does spark, wait about 30 minutes, then repeat the process again. If no spark, then go ahead and scrap.
