These are the boards that typically house DLP chips in rear projection tv's. Also the plastic shroud that holds the dlp chip has traces running through it to connect the chip to the board. Weird set up i know. Its pretty much a removable cpu socket in a way.

Here are my two senses.

The board may qualify for Peripheral. If the socket alone qualifies for gold tip connector end then you are better off re-attaching the sockets to the board for a better pay-out as peripheral. Now once the socket is back on the board and you may get a better grade, if so.

Wait for one of the moderator to give their expert advise.

Some require an aluminum bracket in order to secure it. Those have already been recycled. If it does require being mounted to the board what is a viable alternative that wouldnt degrade the board value? Or could i put the boards and sockets in a bag so its separated from the rest of the stuff i send in?
