 Post subject: Foreign CPU

What grade would the cpu to the right fetch? There is no gold plating on top or bottom but it looks very similar to a foreign cpu to the left with the exception of the gold plating.

I believe the one on the right would go for the standard IC price. But, I would wait for one of the pros to verify.

If you can post a clear photo of the chip by itself in better lighting, we may be able to more accurately determine the chip type. The photos provided were not well enough in focus to accurately determine grade.

Thanks BSOD and kgryczan.

Here are some more pix. The cpu in question is made of the same ceramic just like its cousin the motorola cpu and the pentium cpu. The ceramic isn't similar to the ones ic chips have which is more like hard plastic. It may be graded as an ic chip after all due to the lack of gold platting but I don't want to miss something that could have more potential.

Since you said that none of the legs have gold on them and there's no trace of visible gold anywhere, it's going to go as an IC chip.
