Not sure how to class the mother board,
And the expansion card with the gold chip and fingers,
And are the hard drive platters gold plate?
HD board telco or HD board
Thanks

Telco.
Hold it at an angle in bright incandescent light. If it’s a reddish tint the platters are the coveted gold platters. If it’s slightly green, it’s palladium chromide.

If the cpu is socketed pull it. Gold pins =8086 class, silver pins =Motorola foreign gold cap. If the chip is soldered it’s gold cap chip board

Nice large socket motherboard.

I think that’s a red tint but is there a place for it on the pay sheet?

No. Boardsort buys them as platters, period.
Refineries buy them when you have enough. At least a pound, probably more.
They are worth more than standard platters but getting enough and finding a refinery that buy them and is trustworthy; and both at the same time isn’t always easy.
The other issue is palladium chromide is almost no value. From a recycling standpoint it’s considered an adulterer to the recycling process. And pays much less than clean aluminium; part of what allows Boardsort to buy all platters at a flat rate is the offsets in a batch of platters of many tons.
Finally not all gold platters are worth a fortune. My initial thread writup was for the few GRF people who may want to do gold recovery on them. Glass ones are the most expensive, but most run 50c-$1.50 per lb in value.
If you want to refine it, drop it on the floor (keep kids and pets away). If it shatters it’s worth an easy acid bath. If it clangs it’s an aluminium platter and just toss it in normal platters for Boardsort.
