Hi,
I am just about ready to send in my first shipment? Is this an IC chip?

On a personal note: I really appreciate this forum and site.

It is possible, the term it is called is a "convergence correction circuit IC" The one you have pictured came out of a projector.

scob89, Thanks for your response. Do you think Boardsort will buy it as an IC?

I don't know, I have never sent one in. Still waiting to build up more material before I send more in.

We would not buy that as an IC chip only because I have been unable to find any value data. It could be as worthless as a resistor/capacitor, unfortunately there is just not enough information to be able to make a reasonable assessment. Sorry!

Thanks for the info. I only have a few, so I'll pull them from my bin.

Is that the one made out of aluminum and has the green board glued to it between the aluminum plate and the ceramic on the outside?

Just a thought here, perhaps when you send you next shipment in you could include a couple of these chips for Boardsort to test?

kandksalvage, sorry for the delay. Yes it is, made out of aluminum and has the green board glued to it between the aluminum plate and the ceramic on the outside. Photo attached of it broken open.
