 Post subject: Ceramic chip?

What do you do with a ceramic chip? For best return, leave on or take off? The back of the board is brown.

Those ICs are commonly called bump ICs. A BGA chip soldered to the board (usually capless) and then covered with a heat conducting resin. Gold contacts and the two ICs, with no non valuable materials, ‘‘tis is peripheral class. Just barely.
