Vacuum motor on a commercial shop vac. I yanked the cord just as it locked up and started on fire. Sitting next to the vac itself (and obviously the motor) was a pile of cardboard boxes. Which would have gone up instantly.
All manageable. But I had a bin of cell phone batteries on a low table behind them. Which would have made one hell of a fire in my workshop. One that i wouldn’t have been able to control.
Had she not gone crazy barking at the vac (something she never does, she likes to sit just behind the vent and get blasted with the exhaust); her going nuts made me pay attention.
