 Post subject: Populating boards

I am a newer e-waste scraper so sorry if my questions does not come out right. But if I depopulate the boards what grade do they become. Also if I read right all metal like steal copper and aluminum have to be taken off the boards before shipping. Also do you guys buy the individual components like ic chips or other small components

Removing anything you’re not specifically told to will almost guarantee a low grade board.

They do buy most of the components on a board. However you are almost always better off leaving a board whole.
