I got a lot of low grade boards from TV's. I was wondering what all do I need to remove off them?

Low grade is the lowest class so nothing/has/ to be removed.
However; if you live near a large recycling yard many components on a low or mid grade board can be worth more, some considerably, than the low grade price so removing aluminium and copper is a good place to start.

Soon I will be posting what to remove from a low grade board that you can sell to a local scrap yard, just need a couple of days. Been busy with scrapping appliances as of right now. Have some TV and game console power supplies to strip down and will be showing those as well.

I'm probably on the other side with the benefits of many major scrap and recycling companies; I remove everything!
But doing so; you should have a buyer up front.

regardless if you trim them or not, it is probably not worth sending them into Boardsort. Low grade tends to be so heavy that the the cost of shipping is not offset by what you make.

Basically you will need to figure out what you can trim your weight down to and what size of a box you can fit your boards into and see what your shipping cost is and if it is worth it. It seems to be that most find it counter productive to send in anything less then peripheral. Most scrap yards will take low grade boards as is, and like LoDos and RCM said, will payout better for a lot of the components. I think most everyone has come to the consensus that low/mid grade boards are better to scrap to a local yards then send in.

Not to mention that there's stuff of power boards worth well past $1 per lb and don't take much to get their.
