Hi,

So my wife said she is sick of seeing the scrap. So I have rented a 10x10 storage locker.

Would love to see/hear about other people setups for handling computer scrap dismantling.

Now the answer depends on how you scrap and your turnover. More turnover less storage needed. If you can have a shed get at least a twelve by sixteen and put in a workbench and tool rack, put in power and away you go. The storage costs will eat up a lot of your profits. Store the good stuff and get rid of bulky steel as soon as you get a good load. Sell the good stuff when you get a good load depending on how you will send it in. I am sure there are as many ways of doing it as there are scrappers. lol

I scrapped in a spare bedroom, but then had to move to the garage for a reason that I'm not disclosing. I try to keep the scrap flowing out as quickly as it comes in. I don't have any benches or anything fancy, mainly because I'm focused on electronics and not other things that others scrap, like large appliances or cars.
