Generally that would fall into peripheral if it’s a plasma, lcd, or enhanced media analogue.
The only way to know for sure is to review the gallery and forum posts, or post your own photos.

To a degree, that’s possible.
You won’t get an offer though like recyclers in metals do.
If it’s just a few pounds or a dozen, a small shipment of such. That wouldn’t be an issue as such. There’s going to be a mild penalty for not being sorted, but within reason.
Many dozens or hundreds of pounds of esoup. Such situations are generally case by case. But from what other sellers have told me more privately it’s usually dealt with based on the larger % of class sent. So sending 500 lbs of mid grade boards and 5 lbs of telco mixed in with it is going to pay out based on midgrade rate.
That all said up front if you can’t sort at all shoot Chris an email. He usually responds by the following Thursday. That way you get an exact answer for your situation
I’d also suggest reading through the what is it posts.
My earliest posted questions cover boards from the 50s-70s. Theatre equipment from the 80s. Early organs and AVLS.
Space Coast has posts of military equipment and Aerospace.
MLS has photos covering every class, and many non-class boards.
Etc.
There’s casino scrap, automotive scrap, industrial. My what’s inside it posts even have household items and video game system prototypes.
Point being you may not see the board you have but you almost certainly will find something close. A few users here literally recycle everything, making this an unbeatable industry resource site.

Boards from flat screens are mostly peripheral.
Cell phone boards have their own class that’s higher than most others
Tablet boards are generally a telco class main board with smaller peripheral class boards

Modern Laptops will give you a motherboard, which goes as large socket, a bunch of peripheral class boards, ram, and possibly a few gold finger cards. Older ones will also have a midgrade class power distribution board but those disappeared with the p5/K7 era, but also commonly have a removable socketed CPU.

Excluding socketed chips and CPUs; Removing IC chips from a board almost always lowers a board’s grade class. The resulting two classes, one for the board and one for the ICs, is often less, or occasionally close, making the work unwise.

As it’s reiterated all over the site. Removing batteries is number 1

Socketed ICs, Be it memory, controllers, or CPUs.
Almost all square socketed chips have gold pin legs and should be removed for a much higher payout rate over the board class.
Occasionally you can find ones with high copper nickel pins (some i860s come to mind), a red brass, that will get an AMD ceramic rate despite the missing gold. So pull any sockets square chips.
The tiny not quite square chips with nickel contacts, QLC, chips will go as ic chip class and are often heavy enough to be worth pulling from boards up to telco class. Don’t pull non-gold-pin chips from telco or better class boards and never desolder surface mount chips on purpose from anything higher than midgrade rTe.
rectangle chips are worth pulling when the pins are gold, not worth it when nickel, or tin unless the chips are ceramic, where the weight is better paid for in ic class.
Cutting fingers of is rarely wise unless specifically told to do so. At this point I find about a quarter of fingered cards are worth more as trimmed finger card and gold finger, over the gold finger card. This is especially true of PCIe and M-key cards.

They only place I regularly find value in cutting and butchering boards from components is in betachord and Betamax boards. Pinball, non digital display gambling/entertainment equipment. Stuff where a telco class board is downgraded because of 5Lb+ transformers. All of those cases are rare in scrap though as they’re always valuable sources for parts baring extreme damage like fire; they don’t often make it into the scrap stream.

Much more common are giant server power supplies. As is the boards are often midgrade or peripheral but some, extensive, cleaning to remove the aluminium heat sinks, transformers, large capacitors and the like leave you with a board full of ICs and gold pin connectors for a telco class board. Only you can decide if it’s worth the time and trouble though. Even back into the 90s such power supplies were never designed for repairs, they’re a replacement commodity.
Spending an hour to bump a peripheral board to telco at a third of the weight isn’t the best use of my time. There’s also no secondary market for anything you’d take off as nobody repairs these. So you’re left with a lighter weight telco board and a whole bunch of inexpensive but heavy junk.

Everyone develops quirks in what they do in scrap. As before and elsewhere here; I suggest glancing at the gallery and reading through the what is it posts. This site has images and posts linked to off site by collectors and historical sites. I rarely see something I cannot at least tell you what it is, and if I can’t theres other veterans here who weigh in regularly.
Even if you can’t find it feel free to post a photo. I don’t believe there’s anything posted that hasn’t eventually been categorised.

"develops quirks"

Me collecting crystal oscillators even though it will probably never make sense for me in an profitable sense.

they make a unique tinny sound when you shuffle them...nice to show people

Yep; exactly. I collect fuses. Any fuse. Every fuse. Big fuses. Little fuses. Nano fuses. Macro fuses. Some are worth a little money. Some are worth a lot of money.
Sadly, most are worth no money. I can’t help myself. See fuse remove fuse.

Time for fuse horders anonymous.
