What carrier is best for shipping Li-ion batteries, UPS, Fed Ex or USPS?

Loose Batteries are required by law to ship ground. So flat rate is out.
I tend to lean to Fedex because they’ve gone fare beyond an other carrier I’ve used here or internationally to get things right, and fix errors and mistakes. I won’t rehash my many shipping posts about them but when done right Fedex can be half the price of USPS if you have enough weight to ship.
Just search BoardSort for Fedex to read my many glowing reviews. ;)

On the other hand if you live near a major city with a national postal hub USPS parcel select can be less expensive than parcel post and faster than Fedex as it will just land on a train rather than the trailer network.
You’ll need access to a postal partner or business account for select options though, eg PayPal business, PB, Stamps dot com, endicia etc

I personally don’t trust UPS. I use them by mandate when things are shipped to me but rarely outbound. I simply don’t trust my shipments to arrive in one piece. United package smashers is forever engrained in my head.
