Hi Everyone,
I ma having a little difficulty distinguidihng between finger cards and slot processors. I can recongize a finger card as one that has gold fingers and fits into a slot and has a metal bracket. I can recognize a slot processor as one that does NOT have a metal bracket and DOES have a processor that is soldered to the board. But what I have seen a lot of is boards that appear to have a processor soldered to the board and still have a metal bracket and maybe a LAN input or something like that. Is a slot processor strictly one that does NOT have the metal bracket?

Im getting better....I think...a little.....I hope.

Thanks!

Try posting a picture; off hand I’m not sure what you’re referring to.
