yes, they will all go as power supplies without wire.
I can attest that the one with gold fingers is worth tearing apart. Not only for the gold fingers, but the shell is aluminum and there is a yellow brass plate (occasionally the are copper too!) inside. The board inside will go as midgrade regardless, so its not worth taking them apart much more unless you REALLY want to go after the aluminum heat sinks. I tore apart 150+ of them a month ago :P
the rest of the power supplies are probably not worth much tearing apart, but it never hurts to look to see whats inside or to tear apart one or two to see what the difference is between what you make tearing them apart vs. what you get for them whole.
EDIT: to answer the second part of your question, if you can break off the connector easy, i would do so... just check to make sure they are not brass.
