Hi,

And a big thank you first for the help in grading my boards!

In the picture below:
1) The long skinny board is telco I believe, but could I remove the ICs and maintain that grade?

2) The tundra board I have posted before, and I believe it had been graded as telco. However do I need to do anything to achieve the telco grade like remove the bracket and heavy stuff?

3) For the smallest card I am thinking telco. If I trimmed the fingers off would it still be telco, assuming it is telco.

Big guy is telco
Middle guy depends on the person taking it in. Today; I'd say gold finger card. Ask me again tomorrow. Lol. Honestly this is absolute borderline on the two grades and whichever pile you put it on is open to disagreement. If you've only got the one go telco and let them decide on arrival. If you're more than one I'd say weigh it up as peripheral buy sort them separately from the rest with a note (and email follow up) asking for a review.
Gold finger card.
Don't cut any fingers here

Thank you lostinlodos.

I wanted to follow-up on the Tundra card since it is so borderline.

This is more for curiosity because I only have maybe 6 of these.

If it did not have any of the finisar metal connections would it be closer to telco? Or does the metal not have any bearing on it's being so boarderline?

Can it be sent in as GFC with finisar metal connectors? This may make it worth more than just telco.

Boards like this one are problematic. The gold on those connectors help to bring it up but at the same ad substantial weight. Doctoring them at all almost surely drops them out of any chance of telco. It's best to just leave these be.

It's definitely gfc or telco.
