A high grade board with a layer of thick (comparatively) metal between two substrates inside the outer layers. It's used in through hole designs.

few more to look at. One has a intel i386 chip on it. These are mostly out of just 1 of the larger control boxes. Board 10 I have several of, and can pull the heat sink off the chip top.

This is a great haul! Do you mind sharing what it cost for all the items at the auction? And possible profit projection?

I paid $375 out the door for all the boxes and cameras. Estimate to make about $2,000-2,500 in profit. Working on it a hour or two a day. Not in a huge hurry. Im still getting loads of normal computers and IT stuff. This is a extra "fishing money" hobby for me.

Few more boards pulled this afternoon. Board 15 has large areas that look to be gold/platinum plated. A silverish/goldish tinge to it.

Im surprised that 15 is midgrade with all the plating on it, but I will be ok with that. Its very light.

plating is very deceptive... it look nice and all, but it unbelievably thin... and mostly copper and nickle.

flash plating like that usually runs in the range of about 5 cents/sq.in. of gold content (and probably lower the less 'golden' it looks)

The flashing is what knocks it up to midgrade from low.
