#13 the ic looking thing has gold legs, I think it's out of a mini mouse. Is it worth removing? And #6 came out of a cd/DVD rom from a laptop but it doesn't make cd/DVD? And #10 has gold fingers but only peripheral grade? I'm sure you're right but just wondering why these things are what they are

10!is a fairly low end riser board. The finger keeps it at peripheral.
Optical/laser mice diodes are hit or miss but generally will get peripheral on their own so no sense in removing it.

With laptop drives , any type, if I can’t spot it as something better on first glance it will generally fall in to peripheral on reception at boardsort. Reduced size controllers usually hit either peripheral or telco. There’s fudge room but I’m not seeing it here.

Mouse optics have been discussed and debated to death. Resurrected multiple times and beaten to death again. Bottom line is about 1 in 10 will get a second glance before being tossed into peripheral by the site workers. Excluding some rare ones these days with 8 or 12 legs that clear IC class the pins alone aren’t enough. Peripheral for same reason a basically blank 3.5 inch controller gets peripheral on the pins alone.
None of us can tell you within 100% certainty that they will go one way or another from a photo.
On the extreme end that goes for all boards. Ultimately it’s up to boardsort, and even there it’s not set in stone till someone is holding it or Chris says he’ll promise it.
