Good question. I sell all my mother board's here local here in Indianapolis, In. As of today 11-05-14 I was paid $3.00 a lb. for Large, small socket and metal socket board's. So what's up with the price drop? I work in a recycling center as a buyer and seller and steel price's went side way's so there should be no price drop.

Ya how's that gonna fly? But because boards from floppy drives have gold pins they're peripheral, what about thr the pins all over the mobos? How cam they pay 50 cents less? Cut the socket off and lose a couple ounces and get 50 cents more a pound. Alot of places don't even pay dif small large socket, alot of people look at me funny.

NEW category: Metal Socket Motherboard which can no longer be purchased as Small Socket Motherboard.

It's on the main page, under Important Announcements, I just noticed that.

I've got a couple of boxes of small socket boards, weighed, sealed and ready to go... I guess I'll be pulling those...

Well, there's plenty of other well known reputable buyers that don't distinguish between the two, at least for now.
