Hi,

Im new to both this site and to e-scrapping in general. I have some questions regarding the price of some stuff I found laying around.

Do you even buy these?

These RAM sticks are both stripped of chips and devoid of gold fingers... Worthless?

I would sort through the IC chips and pull out any flat packs you have in there. I believe boardsort is paying more for those as opposed to regular IC chips.

The cell phone board can be sold to boardsort. clean any metallic RF shields off of the boards to get the best price.

I'm willing to bet that the RAM is worthless as you said all the fingers and IC chips were removed. If you know of a refiner that refines in large quantities, they may buy your boards if they have enough precious metal left (in their opinion) to salvage.

A flat pack chip has a small gold plated area on one corner. they are commonly found on GPU cards and motherboards. Search Youtube for "originalfeets" to look for a video on how to remove these chips.

Look at this thread here for details posted by boardsort regarding how they graded and priced some flat pack chips. As for their pricing on regular IC chips, have a look at their current price list.

Even though it has gold on the corner?

As for removing them, I just hit it with a heat gun for ~15 sec.

the second photo appears to be a green fiber with no metal processor chip as long as all the pins on the bottom are intact. A regular IC chip does not have the gold marking on one corner and are usually black in color with no green fiber present on the chip itself. This photo of a cell phone board has some IC chips on it that when removed, will fall into the regular IC chip category.

When getting ready to ship mother boards or other boards with "Flat Packs", will it effect the grade of the board if the flat pack is removed?
