On the payout list it says "cd/disk/floppy drives" does this mean the actual disk? Or the disk reader?

Do you take mostly depopulated boards? I have some old circuit boards that have few if any valuable components left. Do you buy these? Or should I just take them to recycle?

Boardsort takes the drives, not the media. Sorry
In larger cities you can find recyclers who, in bulk, will pay for media.
Floppy discs of any size or thickness will always get mixed steel/iron rate or carbon fill rate. Nearly the same value.
Pressed optical discs go as low grade aluminium, a few pennies. R/RW media a silver recovery rate. Also a few pennies per pound.

Depopulated boards... not generally worth it. It depends on what you mean by depopulated and what you consider valuable. With some special exceptions a depopulated board will be at, or likely below, the low grade rate.
If bringing them in, there’s no reason not to. But shipping them is not likely to be profitable.

thanks for clarifying!
One other question I had was the "power supply" item on the list.
i'm assuming this means computer power supplies, (those oversized blocks with like a gazillion wires) not the things you plug into the wall? (ac-dc adapter)

i apologize if my questions have simple answers. Im new to the site so i dont know where to look.

You are correct.
The big jumble of wires is also commonly called a tail.
With wire refers to having the tail still attached.
However most people will cut that loose. The value exchange for loose wire is far higher than the loss on with wire power supply.

Keep in mind server/rack system power “units” should usually be handled differently. These are the ones with multiple external gold pin and gold wedge connectors. It takes work to ‘clean’ them up but a few a few minutes work on these can give you a pound of aluminium and copper each, and a peripheral board. There’s a few breakdown discussions on those in the What Is It threads.
These are long bricks weighing about 3-5lbs each or giant cubes 10”x10”x11”
