Not sure what these are?

1. is an IBM card of some sort. Only numbers I can find are MC4VO but it doesn't look like others I found on the Internet.
2 & 3. Cache modules?
4. Some sort of Eproms. There are 3 different pairs. They have stickers on them. Some have PBPEM0P with a number 1 and 2 on them. Some have PABLM0P with a 1 and 2 on them, and IPMXNAP with a 0 and 3. Any ideas what they were for? Some had rubber bands around them like they were to be used together. Most were just loose in a bag.

If they were to be scrapped, what would the classify? Thanks in advance.

1) telco
It’s a bus master. This is before technology got to combining controllers together; every function has it’s own IC.

2) —>
3) both are peripheral, they’re terminators.

4) PROMs in carriers. The stickers likely cover a small window used to erase them via ultraviolet light.
Loose
Chips with nickel or silver legs are IC class. With gold legs ceramics are pentium Mac ceramic, and epoxy are green/brown fibre.
The carriers are of little value. You can bundle them together and include them if you want. They’re less than gold pin connector, and more than midgrade.

Ones soldered into carriers will go as peripheral. That’s not common though.

All that on 4 is null if they have gold pin ports on the side anywhere... some have serial ports on one side which allow programming the chip while protected in the carrier

Thanks Lost. I may need to drag my old eprom programmer and eraser out. A quick look on ebay, these are selling for a buck or two a piece used on Ebay but they are not in the carriers. Any ideas how to easily get them out of the carriers? I took one out, but it bent the pins all to crap. You were correct about the window also. I have probably close to 50 of these eproms. Some are 27c256, some are 27c512.

On another note, about 10 years ago I hauled probably close to 100 old(70's, 80's) IBM pc's to the dumpster. That #4 card was one that didn't get hauled with the rest of it. Man, hind site IS always 20/20.

In attempting to keep it usable the best choice is a chip remover. Sometimes called a chip lifter. They’re no longer manufactured and when you find one, eg ebay, they cost a fortune for three pieces of soft plastic and a spring. $50+

Head over to iFixIt. They have some tools that cost far less and do a good job.
If you have a programmer you may be able to dump a hard copy and use that to sell not just the chip but boost the value for whatever is on it too.
Or blank them with a (true) uv light and sell them as blank chips for $2-$5.
Or leave it in the carrier and let some dunce try to get it out on their own with a spudger . Yep, from experience, that NEVER works!
