The box of boards turned out to be about twenty, with a heavy iron plate backing each, but most of them appear to have a some metal/fiber cpus, or else fair IC load. Piture of one below, and thirty pounds of heavy mixed wire, and 6 powerstrips for 230 volt. It also appears most of the boxes/units should sell for more than junk on ebay even without testing. I am not advocating ebay selling, but sometimes a fellow just has to delay his desire to demolish a unit for purely financial reasons

Remember at large yards wire runs from 12č (for copper plated steel) to over $8 for silver wire. But boardsort buys mixed wire too
I agree sometimes ebay is the place to go. Unfortunately my destructo mode kicked in WAY too quickly.

Steel trays need to be removed from anything sent to boardsort.

Another auction today: Unfortunately for me, my five dollar bids were no good. Pallet loads went from $150 to $350 for the type of items I bought last go-round, with just a few more items on the pallet. Anyway, what I learned from this is, don't make scrap of my items just yet: somebody thinks they are valuable.

David, I bought that pallet, lol. I looked up the model and stuff to find out what exactly it is, cause I dont know anything about them. This website was 1 if only 3 websites that had results, but I'm not sure exactly what this website is. Would you be interested in buying them, or letting me know the best way to sell them?

This is the discussion forum for questions and support for an eScrap buyer... BoardSort.
You can’t sell them to users here, but you can scrap anything you don’t sell. ;)

Honestly ebay tends to be the best outlet for parts.
Amazon trade in is good for whole working equipment. Totally completely randomness on what they take when; but generally higher than average values.

Dman886, I only buy electronics with the endview of scrapping the boards to Boardsort, along with the mixed wire and goldplated connectors. All else that Boardsort does not buy, I feel free to market to the local metal yards, and occasionally, if a piece has some value, such as a power supply, sell on 'ebay or craigslist. Sometimes I will pay more than I expect to get, just for the knowledge gained in finding out what type boards can be found in the unit. Also, sometimes I will acquire a working tower or usable monitor, but again, my intent in buying is to scrap to boardsort, so any posting of the devices or their boards is to help educate others who may have a chance to acquire such an item as to the value of scrap boards. Several years ago, a local scrap yard "gave" me approximately 1500 old style monitors. and those weird looking brightly colored see thru plastic cased Apples. I scrapped those out at around $4.50 each for the metals, and paid to dump the glass and plastic in the landfill. (I didn't have any local recycler for the special glass) I would work up 20 or so monitors and make my $100 run to the nearby junkyard. I just hauled the last load of the low and midgrade boards from that project to Boardsort in December. While the few hundred pounds of low and mid only added up to about 80 bucks, since I had a small pickup, that almost bought my gasoline for the trip. Oh, I did have a thousand dollars worth of other boards and chips so it was more than an $80 payday Since I am retired, and like to rockhound, I am always looking for an excuse to travel to new rockcollecting areas, and if I can make it a scrap selling trip, so be it.
Again, any thing I post here is to educate either myself of other readers as to whether something is profitable to sell to Boardsort.
