Lost,

I’m beginning to break down the HDD carriages or brackets. They’re a two piece design with some plastic bits n bobs. There’s also three long, clear plastic light pipes that carry light up from a few LEDs.

You wouldn’t happen to know what type of metal the right and left side of the carriage is made of would you? I can’t seem to find markings on them. When I have a moment, I’ll take a pic and post.

Aluminium is most common here. As die cast.
If you have a large standard screwdriver gouge one flat surface and post. I may be able to completely rule out magnesium.
