I see more people are running into the issue so I’ll now address it.
The PHP backend, and by extension the rest of the hosting package, running these forums has a bug. Specific here is the clock bug. There’s no easy fix. And it’s extremely rare.
So...
If you happen to find your post time stamp listing hours (or days) earlier or later than the actual time just ignore it. I have a way to watch for posts even if they aren’t “new” so you’ll still get a reply

I had noticed several weeks ago that your posts had the oddest timestamp on them,. Why sometimes, it showed you had answered and identified boards before they were posted.

I’m just that good.
:D

No. It’s a long known bug. But super rare. The bug tracker at PHPbb had it listed as closed as unreplicable and not real for a while before reopening it when a dev came across it. There’s no fix without a version upgrade, which is a massive undertaking for a site with stored images. And full of risk like the boards dying. :(
Risks can be mitigated but that involves more than just a backup.
So as I said anyone who does come across it just ignore it.
It’s happened to two users, I’m one, since the opening of Boardsort so it’s not something I see them risking a fix for any time soon.

I would have but I was “...not allowed to post so soon after [my] previous post...”
Lol
Seems to hit me every few days. Usually I just bookmark and come back later but occasionally there’s no conflicting posts and it goes through.
When it happens I can delete my posts and repost but there’s no guarantee it won’t be even earlier than the deleted post. Or I can just say oh well and move on.
I tried deleting a post once and the repost was two days earlier.

Hello kind sir... Forgive me if this is not the appropriate manner to contact you, I was unable to find a method of messaging otherwise.
Thank you for your reply to my post entitled " late 80s / early 90s computer scrap"
It was very helpful & informative.
I wish that I would of included pictures & more info.
I have since edited my post & uploaded several pics both of outside the unit & of the boards taken from one of the 3100s.
If I could be so bold as to ask you to have another look & tell me what else you think.
I was unaware these could be a sought after item on eBay & such & I would very much appreciate any further guidance / input...if you want I can even send you a few boards if u want to compensate you for your time & valuable insight. I am very poor & wish I could offer you more for any help you can provide.
Thank you so much...you are very kind to help a stranger on the ol' interwebs.
Best regards,
-Robert-
