Any idea on what to do with this? Resale? Pull the aluminum plate off? The thing is built like a tank, at least the case is.

Thank you!

Unfortunately it’s not LTO. Which can be a nice payday no matter how old.

These run $7-$15 used, $10-$25 new. But they are a slow sale. Apart as scrap there’s not much. Aluminium, a copper strip. The coated tape (shred if your yard takes it) and plastic. Some brands used a copper cleaner but I’m not seeing it in the photo.
You really are better off doing a BIN auction on ebay and forgetting about it on the shelf till it sells. Scrap is pointless. You can always donate it to goodwill. ;)

Given you have the packaging as well this may sell to a collector. (I have a few or I’d offer). Dates 1975(?)-1982

My yard does not have a "shred" category but the closest thing is unprepared sheet iron. Only one of them has the cardboard box, but they both have the bag and the one that does not have the cardboard has a plastic case.

Thank you!

The bag is rare. The box... extremely so. I see one now posted with box (and miss aged) for 50+
Two more have sold in the last 18 months, 24.99 and one was listed on amazon but you can’t see the price, just the sale date.
