those are deffinitly in the 'odd-ball' category. I would send a message to Chris asking for a price for those. hopefully you have a bunch of them!

Wow, you got me... one of the mods may know a lot more about those boards.

I also have to agree with both previous replies. If you can find someone local to check those for you at little or no charge, that would be a great start. And, a quick email to Chris with photos attached can't hurt.

I'll be interested in the results as well, out of curiosity.

The silver plating is called silver solder it is an alloy of copper and silver. Without its components I got $0.30 a pound for it locally, I tried to email Chris before for a quote and he gave me mid grade price for it. I had 15,000 lbs. so I tried to negotiate pricing which he did not respond back so I sold it locally and saved me the trucking expenses. With gold fingers in it you can get so much more, those have to be separated. If I can get $0.30 cents per pound without its components I believe you should be getting at least double or more that amount with its I.C'S and transistors which I believe are RCA manufactured. Those boards are used in lathe and tooling machines, and I have seen and came across a lot of those, populated and prototypes.

This board has the same plating as your boards, and these sell 0.30 locally without its components like I said.

I don't usually respond like this but those are two very different classes of boards. Yours are definitly mid grade ad best. There's nothing to them besides the the traces under the masking.

The original boards are probably peripheral at the lowest (as long as the etching is silver or better )
Trace boards and etch boards are seperate categories for recycling values.

Every peripheral grade board contains a different amount of precious metals in them it can not be averaged. Router and Cisco boards can be graded as peripheral too depending on who buys it but when you send a sample to a refining company like Umicore they will show you that a router board is in the same range as telecom boards. The blank board I posted was just a sample, I had the same boards he had only that there are no components in it. I agree that his boards should be paid no lower than peripheral grade, because in all honesty they are higher than peripheral. The plating in his boards are not pure silver its an alloy, those boards have tantalum capacitors too epoxy and smd type, those have to be considered when grading boards. There is a lot of inaccuracy when it comes to peripherals, a floppy board is considered peripheral because of its gold pins but a t.v board from the 70's that has gold pins would not pass as peripheral. You are right Lostinlodos the board I showed at best is mid grade but its not just the silver solder that is in there. When boards are refined a refiner pays you a percentage for copper, silver, gold, palladium and many other precious metals in it. I just really dislike people getting ripped whether that is me or anyone else. If I was to ever sell something at peripheral grade that would be floppy boards only, a printer board when refined has an approximate value of 6-$13 / lb. after deductions depending on your weight. I bet no buyer wants to know that, send a printer board to Umicore and pay all the fines and fees to get a single board refined for you and see what comes out of it. Umicore is a refining company started in Europe they are the best and anyone can do business with them there is no minimum weight just be willing to pay the fines. They have a facility in Canada where most of the circuit boards bought here in the U.S is taken to. OH MY! I think I said too much..........
