One)peripheral. Looks like a modem box or cell station.
Gold is always gold. Bright and shiny is very thin or very low it alloy. The darker it is the more expensive the gold or value.
White gold, generally gold, nickel, tin and either silver or aluminium, is almost unheard of in electronics.
Shields that are not soldered should be removed. Removing skeletal remains is a per board debate. And this looks like a modem hub box.

Two) low telco. It’s a serial controller with specialised ICs.

Three) low telco. This is another wireless hub modem. This one a bit newer.

Four) I’m going to say low telco here. Memory modules and the high end board.

Five) midgrade

Six) low telco. based purely on my knowledge of what it it. The pins are nickel. Not plated. Add the IC population to that you have A slight boost.

And your fine. It’s the long string of 10+ Photos, with multiple boards per photo, with no method of labelling, that irks me.
Not only does it take time to grade. But I have to constantly double check and make sure I’m in order.
A run of 10 plus photos is also very hard for the other users to read.

And honestly I don’t get mad or upset at all. I just look at such posts and roll my eyes and say later.

This was well laid out. Nicely separate, and clearly marked. Makes my efforts easy.

Well... I managed to remove one of the chips while pulling the shield from the #3 photo on the last set. The other 9 boards are okay :D

So here's pics of that, I'm guessing the main board will take a hit to peripheral?

The smaller board... reminds me of a cell phone board now but maybe it stays telco?

Ah. Another opportunity to push people to more realistic acronyms.
You removed a MCC (a or an?).
Multi chip carrier. Which is why ceramic monolithic capacitors is CMC!
(is is absolutely correct!)

Yep. The board drops to peripheral however the MCC jumps to high telco.

More acronyms! If the chip were a SCP it would be pinless. If it were attached with pins it would be a GF which is green fibre. Obviously NM.
If it had an edge connector it would be a GFC! And if it had a ceramic shell it would be a CCP for pentium class.
Lol.
Don’t mind me. I’m not so happily waiting to sync 17TB of data for my latest cloud backup. Meaning no streaming movies at the moment. :’(

17TBs!
Time to break out the VHS collection?

I think it depends on how you pronounce MCC, "a" for a consonant sound "an" for a vowel.

The only acronyms I didn't get were SCP and CCP.

Actually I like it when you're able to give a little more detail, gives me more to think about. If that helps pass the time (or helps avoid the data sync) feel free to explain away.

Single chip package
Ceramic circuit package

I only have around 3000 vhs tapes and I think I’ve watched most of them. ;)
that’s not a typo.
We’ve got vhs tapes shoved into any space we can find. Including bathroom cabinets (gonna suck for mould and mildew removal!). I have a thing for for the grain and grit of VHS and analogue in general I feel is lost in digital.

Cannibal holocaust resulted in murder trials. Nobody blinked at Hostel or Saw.

Totally not surprised by that VHS count, I'm not big on horror type films. Watched friends watching Saw on a portable DVD player and their expressions were more than enough...

Got a few more boards, think some of these were from a server (I don't get servers enough to be sure of that though)

Small middle has a battery I'll get off at some point. I left the unit together for the picture, will disassemble.

Think the pictures speak for themselves on this one; I added numbers because I was already having to reduce the filesize. :)

This is two boards. If you can separate them one is gold finger ram and the other is high telco. As is high telco

1)peripheral
2)low telco
3)peripheral
4)peripheral

HT=high telco
BP=backplane
See= gold finger card. Pop out the ram board.

Should be the last set for awhile.

This board, I was really just curious about the resistor (I think that's what it is). It seems to be just a piece of metal as opposed to the stripe-color coded or rectangular ones you normally see. Is there a particular name for this type of resistor?

Between the extra weight of the wire clamps and the IC population I wasn't sure if these would any better than midgrade. The square ones are the same board front and back, the rectangular one (with rect. cutout) has no population on the back.

Front and back of same board, I have maybe 60-75 of these boards and thought midgrade? If they can go into peripheral as is I won't mess with them but, if midgrade, would removing the heatsink/transformers push them up?

I know I've seen the question asked before but not sure what the answer was. Motherboards without a removable CPU would normally (or at least in the case of this board) be classified how?

Thanks again Lost for the help over the past week. I'm sure I'll have more eventually but this will help clear out most of what I have.
