Grading a laptop wireless card without a photo to go by will be difficult. They can go either as a peripheral card or as a fingered card, depending on how it was manufactured. If you can provide a photo, we can give a more accurate grading.

I have to disagree, laptop wifi cards are either the old style mini PCI or the new style micro PCI express. Pretty standard cards.

The first two pictures are of the long and short versions of the Micro PCI-E WiFi cards, Third picture is the old style Mini PCI cards.

I remember seeing some wireless cards where the card socketed to the motherboard on one end on the bottom of the card and the antenna wires came off the opposite end. These may have been a proprietary design by one hardware vendor. If your cards look like any of those that scob posted, then they would pass as fingered cards.

If your cards are external pcmcia slot cards, they would fetch peripheral pricing. Open the casing and remove the board inside. Place the outer casing with your scrap metal or plastic.

The last time I went to the shop, they bought those as air cards paying $1.00 a pound.

gauvis,

If you remove the wrapping from those laptop air and wifi cards, I will be able to give you the $6 per pound. But they must be completely cleaned of the plastic, and/or metal casing. Some (PCMCIA version) come with a metal shield attached or are enclosed in a case, they must be removed from it.
