Please help me grade these boards. They have ICs, gold-tipped pins sticking up, and gold connectors. All backs are green and empty.

*Board 4116: What are those thick gold connectors? Are they anodized gold or something? Same value as other gold pins?

* The 4129 board has gold-tipped pins sticking up, bent so you can see, gold pin connectors, and ports with gold pins.

*The 4129 with More Jacks: same as above with more jacks, minus gold pin connectors, and it has a row of black pin things that I broke open to expose the gold pins inside.

*Red & Yellow board: ICs, jacks with gold pins, standing gold pins.

Thanks for the help. This shipment is driving me bonkers and I want it over soon.

All those would fit in the category of peripheral grade. If the boards were more densely populated with IC chips instead of resistors and other power components, they would have gotten telecom grade.

Do you know what those thick pins are on the last board? They're on the right edge and I cut away the black plastic a bit so you can see. They're thick, squarish, and "look" like gold, but kind of...I don't know what the process is. I have a big back of those same connectors, unused, and wondered what to do with them.

Just standard gold pins. If they stick to a magnet they're plated steel. If nonferrous then the base, being whiteish is.probably magnesium or nickel.
Board sort buys but you'll need to send them in for evaluation.

Okay, good info, thanks! I'd trust Boardsort with evaluating my gold. I can't say the same for a lot of other businesses,that's for sure. I'm starting the process of getting gold pins together to send.

Lostintodos, If I send gold pins to Boardsort for evaluation as you mentioned, do they want me to pull them out of the plastic holders and send metal only?

If they're in the plastic they're considered gold connector ends most cases. Ideally you'd have them clean from the plastic.
You'd have to ask directly if they'd allow some plastic in the mix or not but I don't believe so.

Okay thanks. I'm pulling out the pins so they're bare.
