Hi, I have a general question. I am picking up a few servers to scrap this week and there the first servers i've scrapped. I was wondering about the Board in the server, does board sort pay out a different rate for server boards? or do they fall into the motherboard category? Sorry no pics yet of the board inside. Any info would be great. Thank you

It totally depends on what's inside.
If it's a standing server with slide tray boards
Most will be motherboard -telco. You can expect backplane-telco grade for the vertical board.
Desk servers are just highend consumer equipment.

Basically if the Board is fully flashed on both sides expect peripheral+ for copper
Peripheral+ for silver
Telco+ for gold.
Clean the steel from the boards and check ALL the heatsinks because some may be copper or zinc

Also check for number of CPU sockets. Payouts are better for multi-socket boards compared to single socket boards. Don't forget to pull the RAM and CPU chips out along with any finger cards you find inside.

Thank you. I got the server today and ended up striping it apart, it is a dual socket board. But it has the metal hinges on both of them, are there considered small socket server board? Or what category it falls into. Thank you

I'm sure I do it wrong but if it's a server board I send it as such. It's not on the price list but when you click to sell server boards are there.
