Top pic telco
Second pic gold cap boars. See if the cpus are soldered or micro-socketed by gently prying them with a small screwdriver or spudger

Last pic
The ones on top are telco.
The rest are gold cap boards.

If the ics come loose and have gold legs I'd pull them for 8086 class. With silver legs moto/foreign gold cap.

You're better off removing the socketed gild caps.

Also those two in the centre, if the gold caps are soldered, I'd sens an email to Chris next year and see if there's a better choice not in the quote system for them. They have some classes not listed in the system for the public for specific stuff.

The first picture under the square aluminum plate or flat heatsink by the corner next to the blue connecto, there may be a moto/foreign cpu underneath.

Good eye. I missed that on my phone but can see it now on the television.

I think you can remove the fingers from the first board. The board is telecom beacuse of the ic chips.
I wouldn't remove the fingers from the boards loaded with the moto/foreign cpu if you remove the cpu's. The boards can go for gold finger cards otherwise if you strip the cup's and fingers the boards would be peripheral.

I would consider throwing those boards that are loaded with chips up on eBay... collectors love that kind of stuff, and sometimes people go bonkers for that kind of thing. Leave the gold fingers on the board if you decide to do this though.

the other ones I would sell to boardsort as you will get a gold cap grade. If you have a number of boards with gold cap chips it can be worth while to desolder them "IF" you are careful about it AND have the right tools. If all you have is what is in the pic though it is probably not worth it as it can be time consuming to do this.

Just my two cents.

And dangerous.
I almost always try to deter people starting out from getting gold fever over OLD gold-cap boards because of the lead and mercury involved.
Make sure you use a respirator and high temp unit.

As long as you post them as is... ebay is a good idea on those though... collectors do go crazy. Of that I'm guilty as well.

I should have stressed how dangerous it can be... you NEED to have the right equipment AND suitable place to do it. If you burn the printed circuit board inadvertently, the fumes can overcome you pretty fast if you are not in a well ventilated space. Heavy metals are a concern as well and one more reason you don't want to be getting things to hot, so do not try to use a flame torch.

I will typically set aside boards with gold cap chips until I have enough to get at least pound of chips... otherwise it is not worth the effort. Either route you go, be safe doing it!
