Ok time to ask some questions and get ready to ship.
How do you clean P2 Processors to get the best price?
Plus I understand the mother board with the metal holder is a small board, but the P2 boards with the white processor holder. Is that a large board?

slot processors need to have the heatsinks and mounting brackets removed before selling to boardsort. the heatsinks are aluminum and you can sell those to your local scrap yard.

The difference between small socket and large socket boards are the socket size. If the CPU socket measures 2" or larger, or the CPU socket is a slot socket, or if the CPU socket can hold a 386/486 chip, it's a large socket board.

When packing your boards, be sure you pack the inside walls real good or use a durable cardboard box, otherwise you risk the contents spilling during shipping.

Thank you for the info about the slot boards, that pic was not supposed to be there.

So all those board are small chip boards?

And what do you do with the P2 monsters on the bottom? Trying to get them apart, they look like they what to break.

Those P3's look tricky, both the heatsink and plastic need to be removed so it's just the bare board. Normally there is a quick release for the heatsink on them. I have a few similar to the P3's pictured and ended up breaking the plastic off with a pair of pliers and then the heatsink just fell off.

All mainboards that are pictured are small socket, a rule of thumb I use is anything pentium 3 and older is lage socket, anything pentium 4 and newer is small socket. the ones pictured are a pentium 4/celeron socket and a Core2 Duo/Pentium D socket.

I agree with scob89's replies. You definately need to remove the heatsink and case on those P2 slot processors.

Another tip for max value is to leave the brackets on the gold finger cards in pic 014.jpg.

Thanks guys!

I have the processors apart. Now do I pull the processor chips off and sell the rest as a gold finger card?

No. Leave the chips on and intact. Those are slot processors and are currently priced at $11.00 /lb.

no doing so would lower the value, sell them as they are now to boardsort.

right now Slot Processors @ $11.00 per lb.

any other way would be less than that.

This is the only 3 I have or have ever seen. I will leave them alone and know for next time. Thank you. Getting ready for my first shipment and still have a lot of stupid questions before I seal the box.
