I bumped into these two, I was a bit confused when I opened the cases and saw empty sockets... How do I grade these?

both are large socket motherboards. It appears that both boards could take either a slot processor, or an AMD K6 or K6-2 processor chip.

These where funny boards to work with, You could onlu install one CPU on them. All the ones I worked on where always Pentium 3's.

I would say server dual large socket.

Actually that large brown slot is for a PCI expansoin card, not a CPU.

The first one, I pulled a Pentium II from the slot (I miss-wrote "I", it is labelled "PII Slot-1 242P").
The second one, I don't remember, but when I reviewed my boards, I assumed the "233 Mhz MMX" was a processor, but wasn't sure, that's why I included the close-up...still learning stuff.

The brown slot is for a back plane expansion card. The cards would stack vertically.

Yeup, just checked, a back plane I've had lying around matches up with that slot on the second board, fits the board nicely as well...Tossing that motherboard with the Large Socket MBs.

Alright, after waking up with circuit boards in my head, I'm gonna finish this one off.
I'll bet that kgryczan was right from the start.
That first board (PII) goes as Large socket MB. Even with two CPU inputs, it can only run one (as scob89 said), and therefore likely doesn't have the extra goodies that would qualify it for server grade.
We've already determined the second board is also Large Socket MB.
That's it, no more weird stuff, I promise...I got to go back to work.
Thanks to everyone for the input.
