Hey guys I've been collecting up e-scrap for years not really knowing where to sell vs fair pricing. Would it be worth starting up a small business buying e-scrap in South Georgia having to ship such a long distance? Granted there is no local competition that I'm aware of. And have access to 5 recycling yards who allow me to get material and buy it at a cheap price. Any help for me guys?

First I'm going to move this to the business thread.
That said... i started e-waste as a scrapper. Picking up junk off the side of the road, and mixing in my shop waste. It lead to a chance encounter of a widow of a former Nicos network installer with an entire house full of junk. And that was back in the mid 90s. It funded(es) my computer work.
But i will never deter anyone from getting involved.
That said running a recycling business and scrapping are two very different things.
If you are really ready (think you're ready) i can set you up with links to guides to what you would need as far as information. On scrapping on recycling. Laws for your state . And sone guidelines and membership info to get you going. The rest is up to you.
The more you learn the more you earn.

I also would like to get any sort of e scrap business in Georgia. I was a buyer for over 5 years at one of the main recycling centers. Seeing profits from what they did buy was just crazy. I'm willing to invest in a escrap business asap. Georgia especially anything under Atlanta would be ideal please contact me if you have any ideas I'm very knowledgeable I don't know everything but materials and buying skills are my strong suit

Georgia is a bit of a hot bed with lots of Industry and major military options as well.
Benning remains a great source of specialised materials auctioned off via Atlanta offices quite often.
On the consumer side you have major competition. I'll be back on this for you in a few days.
