I am finally getting to the final stages of sorting before I begin cleaning up the boards to ship so I am hoping you can help with that again, please and thank you!

photos numbered from top to bottom of post:

1:
gold finger card
mid grade or cable end (only pins and pin sockets on board)

2 (other two boards not in #1):
gold finger card
peripheral

3:
small socket motherboard
small socket motherboard
small multi-socket motherboard

4:

5:

CD/DVD board

6:
peripheral grade
small socket motherboard (contains what appears to be RAM slots and processor chip is soldered to the board)

7:
clean heat pads or heat sinks from top left item and repost. Appears to be a ceramic chip soldered on the board. If gold cap, goes as gold cap board, otherwise could go telecom.

Thanks for sharing with us.

Don't forget to remove the batteries! The CR2032s from all the motherboards and the dallas box!

Thank you guys so very much for all the help, I do appreciate it immensely.

Questions: You mentioned removing the heat sinks off of the top left board in one of the photos but to my eye, I am not seeing anything that resembles a heat sink on that board? The CPU is indeed soldered to it and is not a gold cap so is the Telco box the safe bet for it?

The Dallas Box; is this not just an IC chip and if so, would I not be downgrading the board by removing it? I will definitely be removing all the batteries and things that can be removed before shipping.

Thanks again everyone <3

They are talking about the gel like material on top of the chips of the first board in your last pic. The dallas box just has a battery inside, it has to go, as batteries can cause explosions in the refining process! (Or in my bench drawer oops no damage)

Thank you very much for the super speedy and informative answer; I did indeed end up peeling the gel/foil off the top of the cpu's and I popped out the Dallas box (I would never have known that was a battery!) and they are now sorted into their correct bins, waiting to be cleaned before shipping.

Odd question but if there any chance that anyone has compiled a photo gallery of the different types/styles of batteries and heats sinks and the like? For the sake of when I get to the final cleaning stages, I would just like to know what should and should not be removed?

Thanks again for everything!

First pic your safe on peripheral there on the adaptor. No metal so Better than cable end.

4) is put the one with pins and IC chips only, not the one with the vertical boards, into telco class; leave the ics in the sockets

6) remove the Dallas box

7) bottom left will go as peripheral; not telco. Sorry
Top left is telco though. No need to remove anything further, I'm quite positive on the board.
What kgryczan was looking at is a fiber cou in a ceramic carrier.

Sorry about the delay.

I have a post somewhere that's rather long and has some borrowed (stolen) photos that I marked up showing various aspects of many different components, including batteries; and their materials makeup for more aggressive recycling.
