These are all over the place so I'll be back in a few hours once I match your boards up with ones I've sent in.
Short answer for the moment fingers on and they're all at least peripheral. Be back soon .

Starting with the top photo
Listed left right or top bottom as fingers/trimmed classification

Telco/peripheral. Peripheral/peripheral

Telco/telco. Telco/peripheral

Telco/telco. Telco/peripheral

Telco/peripheral. Telco/? (Can't see top) Telco/peripheral

Telco/peripheral. Telco/peripheral

GFC/peripheral GFC/midgrade

Peripheral/midgrade

Telco/peripheral. Telco/peripheral

Telco/telco. GFC/midge

GFC/midgrade. GFC/midgrade

Last one left side wrap it well and mark it. Inside the box I believe the relay board is glass. I see those on old video cards like Hercules a lot, almost always a glass etched board. Not good to break them because they shatter into microscopic shards that get into everything.

thanks
lostinlodos

will removing the fingers create a big price change? Looks to me as if most of it will stay at mid grade with the fingers off.

I broke that list to give grades
With fingers / without fingers

So you could decide whether to trim them or not.

The boards that you can remove the fingers and not loose grade on are:
Pic # (position)
85 (Top)
84 (Top)
83 (Top)
86 (Mid)
82 (both)
77 (Left)

They will be Telecom whether you trim them or not (basically the ones that are full boards of IC chips). The others will go to peripheral if you trim the fingers off them. I have done this with hundreds of pounds of these kind of telecom boards and confirmed with the sorters on this issue.

To answer the question if it is worth trimming the cards that will lose grade, it depends on what you do with those fingers. If you are going to recover and refine them yourself then it may be worthwhile to remove them (you would have to do the math). If you are just going to remove them and sell fingers boardsort, then no not remove them... you will lose more in board value than you will make up in gold finger weight.

Perfect answer, thank you very much. Yes we will process the fingers. I ran a test batch, nice yield. We have over 1000 boards with similar fingers. The bulk of them just interface boards, no electronics on them.
