1 & 2are probably gold finger card but possibly telco. It's straddling that line.

This is one for MLS. I'm not totally sure.

cards like 1&2 have gone as gold finger cards for me in the past... I have been meaning to ask them about them though, because the are well populated and have good surface mounted devices. I plan on heading up there tomorrow or friday and if i remember to ask, I will let you all know.

My best guess is 1 is finger and 2 with the nice fibre chip would push into telco.
But let's let MLS ask on Friday and we'll know for sure.

Slot processors, best example, Pentium and Pentium 2, in short they are CPUs' that are installed on a mother board via a slot, like ram but larger. They will have gold fingers, a plastic case on one side and a large heat sink on the other.

Good example
Any slot 1 slot 2 slot a CPU
Most via slot v CPUs

Via slot processors look like like intel xeon CPUs

Slot processors were an attempt to standardise a way to make interchangeable extensions to compatible motherboards without needing a new mobo. Such as adding USB controllers or adding ata support to ide boards.
In intels case adding mmx extensions
AMD added sas extensions on ide for use with a proprietary breakout; and mmc via CPU the first CPU supported accelerated graphics
Via used two slots, one for a CPU and one was a coprocessor board.

Dual slot boards utilise a termination board that is of identical size and shape but only has a single 12 pin IC and hundreds of CMCs. These go as telco.

Easiest classification along with the Wikipedia photo and gallery photos is
A slot processors will always have one big giant CPU. It will usually have one or to smaller square CPUs. Coprocessor units. It will always have CMCs. They are thicker and heavier than standard than common expansion cards. They have a layered two tier finger layout
And they are always gold sandwich boards. You can see three layers by looking at the side edge of the card.
